Remote start antenna location

Does anyone know where the antenna for the remote start is? I have been told it uses the onstar antenna and then I heard it is under the dash. The only "problem" I have with the car is that it seems that my remote is getting weaker. I have another thread about a new style remote. I soldered the contacts, installed new batteries, cleaned the contacts and it still isn't like before. Now I am wondering if I moved the antenna if it is under the dash. The dealer doesn't really offer much info. How far away can you start your car?

I'm not sure about this...it was discussed way back in another thread..... BUT I think it is above the headliner near the passenger side. Someone else will probably confirm or correct.

The "distance question......

Is really dependant on the individual use, battery strength, surrounding area, etc. Everyone has a slightly different answer. Mine is about 250-300 ft.

Simple

The receiver for the Remote Start and the TPMS is concealed between the roof and the headliner near the rear view mirror.

WOW, 250 feet. That's about right with aftermarket units friends have.
