REQUEST - Bluetooth add-on How-To section

I have a 2008 HHR SS with on-star and no UPF code. I did a search and read until my head hurts. Some people say it can not be done, some people say they bought a 2010 Cadillac STS bluetooth module, some say they upgraded to a 2009 radio and it works. Some went with a pioneer radio.

Can someone tell us exactly what our options are to install bluetooth in the 2006-2008 HHR and then put this write up in the HOW-TO section and set it as a sticky.

You mean like these aftermarket units from or friends at Carid?

And this to adapt a Parrot Bluetooth to the HHR

That's an awful small audience for a sticky.

But, I do seem to remember somebody went into more detail than I could follow.

IIRC, the bluetooth is part of the OnStar module. It is cellphone profile only.

Buying an after market radio equipped with BT is probably easier and cheaper.

I typed "bluetooth" into the search box and found these links among 1,077 others.

• 2010-2011 Camaro LaCrosse SRX OEM GM 20842731 On Star Bluetooth Module
• Pioneer AVH-270BT Double DIN/BLUETOOTH USB AUX DVD Receiver $150
• GM 22740323 - https://www.christopherprice.net/how...llac-2847.html
• BlueStar - costartech.com - BlueSTAR

Here were a few options that I was looking at. I think I like adding the actual GM bluetooth module, this would by far be the cleanest install since it will operate exactly like the factory bluetooth in 2009 and up. I will do more research on this later and keep you guys posted.
