RIght side door speakers in and out, now completely out

Hello all,

It's been a while since I've posted. But a issue has come up and wanted to see if any updates to this problem have been discovered. I've searched and found a few thread addressing this issue, but no after posts showing what fixed the issue. Both my passenger side speakers have been going in and out for a while. Not today I've noticed both were out. The pillar tweeter still works. I'm taking a guess it's just bad speakers and not the head unit (factory). But wanted to see if anyone can shed some more light here. All this equipment is original for the 06. I just think it's odd that this is happening only on one side and not all around. I haven't pulled the door panels yet. Planning on that today.

Other than that, she's still running great. Over 100K miles now. Still working hard as my daily driver.

Only update is replace the speaker. Probably got water in the coils causing corrosion. Usually it's the driver side.

This is both the passenger doors. I'm looking into some replacements. Just seems odd to loose both on the same side. But all 4 will get replaced.

They are all 6.5" correct?

Well, spent a couple of hours over the weekend installing new 6.5" Kenwood coaxial speakers. I will say, the old ones hardly had any of the foam edging left. Shocked any of them still produced any sound. But I cut out the old and used the brackets for the new. Even soldered new wiring to the original female plug from the old so I could just plug it back into the factory harness. WOW, what a difference in sound. All now working. Lucky to have had the repair manual so I could tell which wires were + & -.
