I've got my 2007 HHR on order, tentative build date is this week and delivery tentatively mid to late February. I ordered the six disc cd changer, and I was wondering, does this changer play mp3/wma disc similar to the six disc changer Toyota offers in it's Sienna mini van. Doesn't matter but would like to know. It would be nice to load 6 cd's and can drive forever without hearing the same song. Thanks for any info.

 

Yes it does. It also has an aux jack on the front to plug in mp3/ipod.

When we bought our second HHR, we knew more about the car than even the Sales Manager!

 

Maybe the salesman was thinking of the basic single disk. I don't think it plays MP3s.

 

On this subject, I have a question. I was supposed to have the 6 disc changer when I got my HHR, but it only came with the single cd. I don't mind that much, since it has the Auxiliary jack... But I asked the dealer why they made that mistake, and they said something along the lines of since I wanted the auxiliary jack, I couldn't have the cd changer as well. Apparently he was saying that with the changer, you can't have the aux. jack. But that just sounds messed up to me. Am I right or is this really true?

 

All 6 disk changers have the jack.

Yes, it is scary. I know when I decide to purchase a new car, I usually do a little bit of research and know as much or more than the salesman, but in regards to the six disc cd changer all the propaganda was confusing. But I am 99% positive that the single disc cd player does play mp3's. Look forward to getting my HHR, but have to be patient. Again thanks for the feedback from everybody.
