There are three units. The base single disc does not play mp3's. The mid-level which was in mine, does. It also has the aux. jack. My wife's has the 6-disc changer, it plays mp3's and has the jack.

One thing I'm a little confused about. Did you spec. out and Order your HHR??
If so, was the difference in cost between the 6 disk and single disk subtracted from your delivery price??? It should have been.
