Speakers

All of a sudden the drivers side speakers in both doors are not working. All of the controls on the radio work. I have a 2007 LT with only 55,000 miles and is stock. WTF?
Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed.

Thanks, Jerry

Did you try the search?

This is a very common complaint! Water infiltrates the door cavity and the speaker coils get corroded and fail.

Have you noticed that the door chimes don't chime anymore?

Solution is to replace the speakers. Here is a how-to:https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...peakers-57258/

Welcome to the site.

Mileage is sort of irrelevant as far as speakers. Now a car that is almost 10 years old.......time and the elements probably did them in.
As Donbrew suggested, try the Search function if you want to read up on one of the HHR's common complaints.

Welcome to the forum!
I actually just had this happen to me. Both passenger speakers on my 2008 HHR LT went kaput (think it might have been from getting rained on for a couple minutes). Looks like donbrew already posted a link to the process that I used to replace them.

It was a fairly simple job but feel free to ask if you have any questions!
