Steering wheel controls. CDA-9827
Sorry Not having much luck in search.
I just picked up a 2006 HHR LT with low mileage today. It is the second HHR in our house hold. My wife has kept hers stock. It is a 2010 LS.
My 2006 has the Pioneer sound system. While it is a bit better then her standard system I gotta get my system in this car. What I have is an old school CDA-9827 Alpine Head Unit. My biggest sticking point for staying with this head unit is the suberp sound quality and the 3x 4v pre outs. It will be feeding my 1400w RMS Monoblock, and alpine type X 12. From my old car. As well as my old Rockford fosgate 551x (90w x 4RMS). I may opt to keep my MB Quartz 5.25 compenents from the old car or upgrade to Alpine Type R 6.5's. Regardless I am not using anything factory.
I understand I need the GMOS-LAN-04. No problem just snagged one new unopened on ebay for 49.95 shipped. Less then 8 hours from signing the paperwork at the dealer.
My real problem is locating the right module to maintain my steering wheel controls. Crutchfield Does not even list my old CDA-9827 deck as an option to try to find the steering wheel control module. It is to old. Closest of the era is CDA-9820XM
It has the feature I want for now 4v pre outs x3. I am awaiting the release of the IVE-W535HD later this year before I will even consider changing the HU. If I ever do. I dont see the need for a screen up front. I may just add head rest monitors for the kids down the road. Regaurdless. Anybody got any Idea what will fit my application?
According to Crutchfield Axxess ASWC is a no go(CDA-9820XM).
I need my beats asap!
Sitting next to my old car before leaving the dealer today.

Not my first rodeo. Just my first time in something newer than 2000.

Just got off the phone with Dallas at crutchfield. Wanted to update this thread for the search data base.
I have 2 options. Gmos-100 will do everything the Lan-04 will and steering wheel controls. Or i can do the Lan-04 and either idatalink Maestro ADS-MSW or PAC SWI-RC. The Pac is an older slightly cheeper option than the idatalink. But the idatalink is suppose to be easier to program.
The Gmos-100 is the cheaper option in the long run if odering from crutch. But, knowing the car audio market and mark up like I do. I ordered the Gmos-04 of ebay already. So ill be looking for the 2 options he listed there.
Found the Pac SWI-RC for 34.95 shipped. So grand total is 84.90. Now to order the dash kit and antenna adapter. And I will be ready to rock. Much cheaper total than 169.99 on ebay for the gmos-100 or 219.99 at crutchfield.
