I have searched but can't find anything, so I thought I would ask. I have a 2006 HHR that has XM radio. I have confirmed it with the vin number. The problem I'm having is tuning to XM. I push the band button on the radio as the owners manual says but it only cycles between FM/AM. Has anyone else had this issue and where do I go from here? Thanks for any information.

 

Basic question.......XM radio is a subscription service. Are you paying for the service?

 

Yes, I have a subscription. Just can't seem to access it. I called Sirius and they told me that I would have to contact someone at a dealer. I just figured I would post the question here and see what everyone said.

 

Okay, I got it figured out. I probably should have checked first but I found that my S.Band/Onstar fuse was removed from the car. Replaced fuse and the XM works fine now. I do have a red light on my Onstar mirror now. I have read that this is from a bad backup battery. Has anyone encountered this? Is it something I can replace or a dealer only item? Thanks for the information.
