steering wheel controls- where do the wires go?

The controls go into the bus line of the cars can bus system. When you install an aftermarket head unit you have to buy a $80 control module to translate the signal.

What did you want to do with your airbags? From your original post.

My answer in Post #8 came directly from the FSM for my 2009. At least in my 2009 the steering wheel controls do not interface with either CAN Bus.
