ODD is better, I would make sure that the dimensions of the box are not multiples of one another........

Shape doesn't matter in a small cabin environment like cars have...you won't get standing waves in any car...

hey midan i'm trying the pioneer 8" shallow sub in the factory box ...but it will take a while to complete i have a few projects that i'm doing on my hhr
and some of them are on the sounds

Thanks fresh1. Please let me know how that sounds! (And did your HHR have the pioneer system, or are you going to get the sub encl. and install your own amp? )
I'm still figuring out how much upgrading my wife will put up with vs. how much of an improvement in the sound I can get. Mathmatically speaking.. is audio satisfaction > marital irritation. :)

here is mine
14 in tall
15 in wide so it slides on the 60/40 seat when down and gets out of the way
24 in long with port


sounds awesome, very clean and i like it. very natural sounding bass

dont remember the part number have to look it up but i got it at the dealer
and took the speaker out and sound proofed the box
