whos got monitors in their HHR visors, or who swapped out the stock ones for aftermarket ones with monitors already pre installed? i think i've seen a few. just would like to see some pics or ideas of which work/fit/look the best.

 

I entertained that idea just last week. I found a very nice audiovox setup with screen, mirror and make-up light for a great price on the evil-bay, but it measured just about 3/4" too tall for the stock visor. I have spare 7" monitors, but they sure look too thick to install. Thought about the 5.3" ones, but I want to know what is inside our visors first. I took another GM car one apart recently and it was just glued cardboard and fabric.

Personally, I don't care for the look of the pre-fab replacements.

i took my visors apart to wrap them in suede, didnt get any pics, but on both of them, the clips inside broke, so i had a hard time getting them back together, and had to use alot of glue to hold them closed as well. the visor's on our cars are a PITA to open and re-seal back closed..
