trying the find the right wire hardness
Hey guys I'm wanting to put in a pioneer double din but having trouble finding the right stereo harness. I have the 07 hhr Lt with the 7 speakers without on star I believe. I spoke to someone from sonicelectronic and told me i needed this one. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_15123_Scosche-GM13SR.html

First, Welcome!
Second, I moved this to the AV forum
Third, I got no idea what "wire hardness" is. Do you mean "harness"? If that is it, then it depends on what you are trying to do. I suspect that the manufacturer would know more about it than I.

You did not say which Pioneer unit you want to use but as an example I used a Pioneer X950BH which has been great so far. I have a post on here that I mention how I did it if I remember? I bought mine from a shop called Car Audio 1 in Imperial Beach CA, a tad far from you but you could call them at 1-619-628-2400 and ask them what adapters you'll need. I have no idea what the model numbers of the various boxes were but the car never knew I switched head units. I had to buy several, one to do the main connection to the lan, one for the steering wheel controls, one for adapting the antenna and one for the backup camera. There are wires that have to be connected and I would solder them and use heat shrink tubing. You'll have to cut out the back of the plastic area where the unit sits in and also do what is called "the bypass" so you can watch videos anytime. There is a good forum for these units named AVIC411.COM which covers the Pioneer units well.
I have a 1TB solid state hard disk hooked into the USB connection and it sits in the glove box with about 10,000 or so MP3 songs and a bunch of music videos.
