I listen to all kinds of stuff. Pre HHR, mostly country, with a mix of hip hop/soul/r&b/top 40 depending on the day.

first 2 days in the HHR, NOTHING but the XM jazz stations.

Since, NOTHING but XM comedy, cept when the fam is in the car, and then its local talk radio.

It's awesome that most of us aren't so stuck on one type of music. There are sooo many people like that I kinda feel sorry for them. Whether the ONLY listen to country (my father) or they ONLY listen to rap (90% of teens between 14-18 "bc its "cool"") Theres tons of good music out there and you just gotta enjoy it all.

I mean I liked ABBA and the New Seekers when I was a kid (don't ask)... But I lived through the Hair Band and Heavy Metal era and progressed into the Seattle Grunge sound. What I find funny is how certain songs today remind me of songs from 20-30 years ago, just slightly updated due to technology I imagine.

My wife. She only listens to pop. Her all time favorite artist is Madonna. She has a huge collection of Madonna collectibles and CDs. She even has an old school madonna outfit. She also really likes Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson. In the late 80s and early 90s she also was into hair metal. Some of the stuff she likes makes me just want to hang my head in shame, like Milli Vanilli or Bel Biv Devoe. I'm not joking either! Like I said before we're like night and day. I hope my daughters get my musical taste.

Van Halen is my #1 band/music. I like a little bit of most everything, but growing up in the 80s, the hair metal brings back a lot of good memories. Anything with a good guitar will end up on my radio...Hendrix, Clapton, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai to name a few. As far as new bands, System of a Down and Disturbed (saw them in concert two weeks ago) come to mind.

Hmmm... an "old school Madonna" outfit huh... that could prove to be interesting in certain applications.
