The HHR with remotes have a alarm already. or do you want to add another?

Try a search with alarm and you will find more info here. There was a thread going..

I personly like any alarm that Viper makes. Had Viper's on all my Camaro's and Grand Am.

yea it does, but it didnt help when my window got smashed out... i think a aftermarket alarm would have helped deture or go off as soon as he broke it out and i could have ran out there and killed the mother you know what!

I've never thought about it because my factory unit seems to work fine.

Try these guys.............I've bought equipment from them before and they are very helpful.

I'm not sure if there's anything out there that would deter someone who has made up there mind on smashing your window. The factory alarm already has a blinking amber light on the dash. And to my surprise, one day I went to open my vehicle while it was locked and I set off the factory alarm! Horns & everything! I was actually impressed. But if you need to go aftermarket, we installed the Viper with remote start on our 05 Suburban. Nice setup, very nice unit.

I'd also recommend anything from the DEI family- Viper, Valet, Hornet, Python, etc.

We use DEI's and I've never had a problem with them.

Yeah, I think alot of people(such as myself) assume that the factory alarm is an actual alarm designed as a deterrent as well as a tool for theft of the car, unfortunately the pass/key system is not equipped with shock sensors(as it was explained to me) which may have saved some if not all that was taken had the alarm gone off after the window was smashed.
