wireless back up cam install

I have a pyle pldn74bti head unit and i added a wireless backup cam. Works great in camera mode but how do i wire the receiver to turn on when i put the car in reverse?

Check fuse #46 in the engine compartment fuse block.

The reverse switch is sitting on top of the tranny under the hood. You can run a wire through the firewall. Easier access by removing the LF wheel.

Since the transmitter is connected to reverse light, can i just connect the reverse wire from the head unit to the camera receive?

Not sure exactly how the set up is wired. The question would be how many amps each requires. Don't want to overload that fuse by hooking up too many extras.

That's what it's for, afterall.

Test it with a voltage meter to make sure it's getting power when the car is in reverse
