Verizon Wireless STRESSING ME OUT !!!

A little over a month ago, I purchased the Verizon Wireless Broadband Access wireless card so i could access the internet while i'm at work. I just got the first full months bill..... $2,319.50 !!! My current job site has me working 100 yards from the US/Mexico border.... (I am and always have been working on the US side). Even tho I was told there was a Verizon Cell Tower about a half mile from my address/location. The wireless card was connecting with a tower on the Mexico side. It's been a week now and I still havent got this straightened out... There is no way in HELL i'm gonna pay $2000.00 in roaming charges and i've never even left the country, or the City for that matter !!!!

I had a similar experience when I had Sprint as my cell carrier but nowhere near the dollar amount that Verizon is hitting you up for.

That's totally ridiculous...I'd be pissed and chewing their butts out every day. I would think there would be a setting on it that sets it so there is no roaming allowed. Hopefully you'll be able to get this straightened out soon.

I concur with the others.

I also had a new (2 month old) LG8600 phone, I had to switch back to my old Razor because there was no setting on the LG to tell it not to roam...... one of the problems is the Customer Service Reps I keep talking to says they have to research the problem, and they will get back to me.... then they never do... each time I call I have to re-explain the problem, they say they are not able to transfer my call from one 'call center' to another and I never get the same call center each time I call......... FRUSTRASTING.... Hopefully last night I talked to someone who was sympathetic, .... I know there are working hours... but, just a call back would be appreciated,
