Don't have XM

Think they would bite at offering me xm for the discount if I don't have xm currently? I know the previous owner did. What information do I need to furnish them - In other words how does xm find my car? Id try to convince them to throw xm my way if I knew what I needed to provide them in advance - it would be worth the shot. Thanks

fueluser - you should be able to find your XM ID to the car by tuning in to channel 0 and it should display. This is just what i have been told, so i can't say anything for sure.

From what i have heard, they're also supposed to waive the activation fee with this promo, so it should be good for you, it's just for 1 year of service, so i think you should be golden. If you can't access the ID yourself. i would call them from your cell and be in the car, they might be able to help you find it.

To everyone else. I'm glad i could have helped. 12.95 a month to me is ridiculous as well, and not worth it, but at the discount it's nice to have. I like it on longer trips a lot. My wife can play with the radio the whole time, and the signal never (well almost never) goes out in 6 hour drives to michigan.

I called them back today about the 9.99 radio for my wife's car. Only thing they didn't tell me yesterday that it would be an extra $6 a month to add that radio on, and i'm like dude, that's more then what I am paying for the regular subscription...

Just wondering if this would work for someone(me ) who's XM trial has expired.

I've gotten a few mailers from them w/ lower and lower pricing(but not this low)

Kinda got used to it when i had it, but the upper end prices kinda kept me from re-upping.

I took advantage of this on another car, about a year ago. But I told them to bill me. If you provide a credit card number, they automatically renew at the "going" price, when the time comes.

I think someone on this forum mentioned that before. And he uses a card that expires every year.

i'm just going to call in and have my credit card removed from the account at some point. Mine will expire by then but since it is tied to my bank account and probably end up getting a new one with the same number.

either that, or they will still send you a notice when it is going to renew, then you call in and make a new deal with them.

Thanks for the heads up! I called in, and they even gave me a 3 month trial period along with the promo.
