XM nice offer

I dont know if this applies but 3 moth experation came a couple of weeks ago for us with Ruby. As much as I love XM radio, I am not in position yet to pay 170 or so a year for radio. So checked mail and I had an offer from XM radio 5 months for 19.95. I couldnt pass that up. The economy is tough on everyone even XM. See if things improve in next 5 months im eligible for 77.00 a year for XM after that. Hope ya guys can gt in on this deal and call them up

My 90-day trial ends tomorrow, and when they called last week, I told them that I wasn't happy with it, because it wasn't CD-quality, and the signal cuts out in garages and around buildings. They thought the radio needed to be reset, and had me set the radio to channel 1, and sent a new signal or whatever. They also gave me an 877 number to call to extend the free trial, and an ID number. I called today, and they extended the trial for another 60 days.

Nice SS, by the way. Same color as my LS. And I have family near Marion, in both Herrin and Goreville.

Be careful with that 5 months for $20. They will hit you with the full monthly price after that-so make sure if you want to cancel after the 5 months keep an eye on your time...

XM and Sirrius both suck. And I hope they loose their respective shirts. Renewing is not an issue with me 'cause I've got an aftermarket HU. I also have an Ipod, so who needs them anyway?

I thought I'd be the only one. I did this same exact thing..then when I canceled, they re-upped me for the same 5 mos/19.95 deal

IMO for free or 5 mos/19.95 it's not bad.. although I find it to be just as redundant as regular radio, but with out the commercials..
I drive 9 hrs each way once a month from Ohio to NJ. If I leave it on one station, I'll hear the same song 4 or 5 x's

I also have the usb port, so I use my Ipod alot.

The XM in my area is terrible. Poor satellite reception. Cuts out even in clear areas. Sirius works much better apparently.

The XM customer service was dreadful. Even though I cancelled the subscription they kept charging me. I had put the SS away for the winter so had no idea that the radio was still receiving a signal.

They threatened me with a collection agency for their $50. I said go ahead, they won't get any money either. They had a record of my phone call to them, but still claimed I hadn't cancelled. They offered to lower my bill by half. I told them they could lower it to a dime and I still wouldn't pay it. They eventually went away...
