As expected, the car is totaled.....All I expect is NADA......cant really want more than that......The car is an 06 LT2. No onstar.......it has the 2.4, leather, wheels, and moonroof, mileage is 36874. The insurance company is offering $14025.....plus tax. According to the website with my options, NADA is 14225, So thats what I want. the only option on that site that didnt make sense to me was theft recovery system. I didnt think it was offered with a theft recovery..........Factory alarm with keyless entry yes......Anyknow have any idea????? It only adds $125 to the value, but every little bit would help if I was entitled......

Don't forget the check your wife will get for the pain and suffering. If you work it right they will pay her near or over $2,000 just not to sue them if she has no lingering injuries.

They payed me a amount for the idiot that ran me off the road. I did not ask for it or anything. They will pay here a good fee just not to sue them.

Might want to make sure of her injuries and go from there. If she has a lingering neck or back problem signing off is not a good idea.

I was safe as my only injury was form the airbag with burns and cuts.

Since she was not sighted your pretty much in the drivers seat. They may go higher on the HHR just to settle if you name a resonable amount.

HHR does not have a theft recovery system unless they mean you chasing the thieves.

I would say $14,000 is very reasonable as a settlement for the vehicle. I had my HHR smashed earlier in the summer and was hoping for about $16 to $17,000 but the insurance company repaired the vehicle instead at a cost of about $10,000 or so (I haven't seen the final statement of claims or costs yet.)

My HHR seems to be optioned the same as yours and had about 31,000 miles. Vehicles are more expensive up here in Canada. But I think $14,000 is more than reasonable.

OP doesn't have Onstar and I take that question to be more like the vehicle has a dedicated system such as Lojack. I don't think Onstar would help if you are not a subscriber, but I don't know that for a fact.

ChevyMgr mentioned what I was thinking, Some states install Lojack, some only offer it as a option and then some states do not offer it. read about it a few years back.
