Adding brembo brakes and using 16" stock wheels

Added brembo brakes to the front of my 2010LT and I am still using the stock 16" wheels with 1 1/4 wheel spacer. I bought the caliber's used and rebuilt them. I ordered the rest of the parts from rock auto. The wheel spaces was off of ebay. Parts that you will need . 2 brembo calibers, set of brembo pads , 2 each front rotors ( I bought drilled and grooved) Set of pad pins. The pins that came with pads were to short so ordered new set pins only. 2 new hose to go from caliber to hard line (LT are to short by 2"). New crush washers 4 each. You can reuse the banjo bolts off the LT calibers.

1 1/4" spacers ? That's going to push the tires way out there. I would be worried about tire rub on the fenders or elsewhere.

Got any pics with the tires on ?

That much farther out and my tires will be hitting the fender lip.
But if this works for you glad you got everything worked out.
I have always wanted to see how a set of Brembos on all four corners would work but the park brake would be a hassle

I am on 215/60R 16 and i would say that they are all most even with the top edge of the fender lip say 1/2'' from it will post pics soon. So far very happy with the extra stoping power. I keep the stock rim so i can run my full moons.

Brakes and spacers

All I can say is from a mechanic who specifically worked on front ends told me. He saved me hundreds from what the dealer wanted.

He said that after market rims, or anything that changes where the center rotation aligns with the bearings can cause more wear and damage to the front end. He said he saw a lot of issues from people putting different rims on their cars that were not speced for their vehicle.

Which rotors did you use the one in the picture looks like the non Brembo SS 11.65 inch the Brembo rotors are 12.4 inch diameter , it just looks a little small in that Brembo caliper

Oldblue the rotors are 12.4 and here is the pic of the wheels on the car. In the first pic the scale ruler is against the fender. in the sec one it looking down on the tire from above . 3rd pic hole wheel on car and in the last pic is looking down the side of the car from front bumper. Hopes this help any one thinking of doing it to a lt also.

Yeah, up here that sticks out far enough for a warning from the police, they don't like tread past the fenders on a car.
