Another ESC problem

We had a bad right front tire & replaced it then a week later replaced the left front. We had no problems with light until we did a brake job. As soon as the brakes were replaced our esc light came on & has not gone off. Don't seem to have any trouble from the car. Put it on a machine & several codes came up. Is there a recall for this problem?

Recalls

Ok so I just googled recalls on my hhr, there are only 2 showing: 1) the ignition switch 2) steering problem.

We might be able to help if you would post the actual codes.

If a mechanic did a brake job and the ESC light came on immediately after he/she did something to cause it. My wild guess is he disturbed the ABS wires.

As to recalls; yes, there is a place just enter your VIN
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gm-r...-status-50716/

If any apply to your car go get them done. They are safety related and free of charge.

No a mechanic did not do the work., My husband & son did it. So the chances of that being the problem is very likely. Thank you all for your help. I'm glad I joined this so I can get some good input on my car.

The steering one is not a recall, it is an extended warranty. If you still have not had the ignition related recalls performed, get them done ASAP, these are serious safety related recalls.

There is a forum here on this site for recall issues, the link to check your recall status is in a sticky thread.
