Just for fun when you have the struts out move the lower control arm. I'm betting the big rear bushing is also moving a lot.

They are easy to push out if you got the tools. Can be a little pricy if you have to take them somewhere to be get that done. Or you can get whole lower control arms with a new ball joint if your pockets are deep enough.

I replaced everything on my HHR but the lower control arm bushing and still had noise. I bought a tool from Harbor Freight for replacing bearings but it worked fine to push the bushings out and replace them too. Been noise free for a long time now.

I got the Moog problem solver bushings for around $15.00 each at AutoZone. I see them for less on eBay now that I have already done the job. The front end would get to jiggling at highway speed sometimes too and that is gone now that I finally replaced those bushings too.

I'll look at that also. I have a machinist backround and still have equipment at my disposal. Arbor presses and machine tools. Dad has a shop in his basement.

My first MOOG bushing is on the right, the Moog K200792 bushing / bearing is on the left , worth the effort to tighten up the front suspension!

Ouch, did not put them on the order. Hope I can get them local next week. Seems after researching these bushings this is going to be a necessity.

The rubber bushings are inexpensive, but you get what you pay for! I found Summit Racing has the K200792 bushing
