Oh yeah, the ill fated air suspension on the '58 and '59 GM cars, they did do the "Automatic Low Rider" thing years before it became the "in" thing to do.

If the torque sticks were sent off for calibration, I would not need my 5 lb sledge to remove the lug nuts after coming home from the tire store. I never implied that you should use a 3/8 drive to attach lug nuts, or that 50 lb/ft was the correct spec for lug nuts.
If you are expected to be perfect, wouldn't you try to be at least not catastrophic failure prone?
That is not a remark about any ones work ethic. I don't think that I ever used a personal noun when speaking about working for a living. Bottom line is that if someone is asking for advice on the InterWebs they probably are not an expert.
