If the torque sticks were sent off for calibration, I would not need my 5 lb sledge to remove the lug nuts after coming home from the tire store. I never implied that you should use a 3/8 drive to attach lug nuts, or that 50 lb/ft was the correct spec for lug nuts.
If you are expected to be perfect, wouldn't you try to be at least not catastrophic failure prone?
That is not a remark about any ones work ethic. I don't think that I ever used a personal noun when speaking about working for a living. Bottom line is that if someone is asking for advice on the InterWebs they probably are not an expert.
