Cobalt Springs?
Cobalt Springs?
So, I'm just thinking about leveling the HHR. I want the back a little lower. I've seen something about people use the Cobalt SS Springs. Is it just the factory springs on the Cobalt SS? Like these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/COBAL...Q5fAccessories
And where would a good place to get these be?

These don't seem too badly priced? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-Ch...Q5fAccessories
Yep agreed,
I've been running '08-09 Cobalt SS/TC rear springs in my Panel Trucklet.
Dropped only 1" (which is ALL I wanted). & I can still haul plenty as well..
Several members here used the earlier Cobalt SS/SC springs as your link shows, the drop is more than 1" for sure..
Eric- There are threads here about this "Lowering with GM Parts" is one.

They level out the body really well, but you might notice the rear wheel gap is slightly less than the front due to the way the fender is cut. I also have about 80 lbs worth of subs and amps in the back.
They are a great compromise for a year round daily driver, slightly stiffer than stock, but still comfortable and leaves a little room for snow or unpaved roads.
I am feeling the need for more drop, so I just ordered the Canuck Motorsports springs, they should be here in few days and I will get them on soon after that. Im hoping they arent so low that I will need to swap them for the stock springs in winter.
