Sportlines fit hhrs, however eibach says no to doing it.

Sportlines meant for the cobalt. Hhr is heavier in rear end and sportlines cannot take it. Sportlines on the hhr are dangerous. Pro kit is ok, pedders are better.

how do we know if a set of pedders has the "coil binding and clunking" defect without installing them and finding out after all that hard work?

Pedders has stated it is an isolated issue. However if any member would in counter binding, warranty will cover it for you. Recent shipments members have not had any issues.

Plus binding has only happened in the rear springs, which take less than 45 min to change out.

The code on my rear springs is 30/08/11 and they make all kinds of noise. Pedders still has not responded to any of my inquiries(total BS). Purchased them about two months ago.

Stay away from pedders...heard nothing but bad things about them. I'm running Canuck motorsports in mine...love them. I think that eibach makes a quality spring for sure...can't go wrong with them.

I installed Canuck Motor Sports on mine and had some intermittent coil slap noise in the rear. Installed some TIENS Spring Silencers on the coils for about $15 and it cured the problem. Nice and quiet now.

In my case, on an SS they coil slap pretty easy. There is also slight evidence one coil binding. I guess I will have to get the spring silencers that Golfhhr is talking bout. But they are still a little to squishy and a couple coils had bubbly spots of rust on them, not just surface rust. I did not want to make a stink about it but its BS that pedders can't respond In a timely manner. I was told by another member to give it more time which I will since I have no other choice.
