A few questions for those who have installed the rear sway bar.

From the pics I've seen I can't tell what grade bolts are used, also, are the nuts welded to the plate or is the plate taped....if welded what grade nuts do they use? BTW, I would suggest that anyone doing this mod use red Loctite on the threads. JMO

Double post - should be deleted.

Having more than one thread on a subject is confusing and unneccesary.

There is already a post about the sway bar and it covers loctite as well.

The bolts are only torqued to 45ft/lbs - so grade really isn't an issue.

Oops... Since I don't have one YET...and yet is the key word, I don't always read all the responses. Saving up my pennies though Mike.

Instead of clicking on a new thread I replied to the other thread, I tried to delete the other thread but it wouldn't let me delete it..I'll try again.

Go to "EDIT" and then select "DELETE" under the text window.

Hope it helps,

I feel that bolts that secure a sway bar to a vehicle should be of a high grade ( not low grade ), grade 8 bolts & nuts is what I would use. I've read on the other thread that some suggest using blue Loctite, red Loctite has more holding power and you can remove the bolts if needed. This is just my opinoin so use whatever you feel is best for you.

I'm just pointing out what the manufacturer suggests.

At only 45ft/lbs of torque - bolt grade is not an issue.

I understand that, I'm not questioning what you said was incorrect...I'm just suggesting what I would use. The sway bar will probably be second on my list of mods....the first mod I don't really even consider a mod ( stubby antenna ).
