Finally: Koni Shocks...

Came across this on eBay tonight: Koni Shocks/Struts for 05-07 Cobalts

This kit includes 2 front struts, and 2 rear shocks.

These should fit the HHR without problem, as they are running on the same platform. Now...who is going to be the first?

Enjoy!

I wonder if you have to cut the front struts, like you need to on most koni applications.

Socal.. you should read the site closely..
I've post already about these...
You have to cut you stock strut, insert the new one..
not worth the $$$$ for manufacturing your own strut....

I wouldn't either if I'm getting a Civic.

Or do you know something that we don't that makes Chevy parts interchangeable with Honda?

Overpriced. Not worth it IMO.

Koni is in my opinion the BEST after market strut manufacture period. I just hate dealing will cutting up stock struts. From 7-15 way adjustable. They kick ass.

Currently Koni is the ONLY aftermarket shock manufacturer producing an application that fits the HHR. If you blew a strut tomorrow, it's either order a factory strut (*right now they come from the assembly line in Mexico), or do the Koni mod.

The choice is yours...

Free replacement...agreed !!!

Because, I believe KONI builds a respectable product, I researched this when someone else (maybe HVROD) posted it a while bad. Even talked with a KONI rep. Cutting the towers for their install, is FRANKLY and IMO, not a good idea. You are NOW "locked into" the KONI product. What if they do not perform to your expectations.....weld back a piece of metal??? $$$$$ out the window.

But thanks Mike, for bringing it up again. It is worthy of discussion.
