Front End Alignment

Went to have front end alignment checked today since adding the Goldline springs. Springs were installed on 7/7/06 and I have added 675 miles to the car since that date. I did not buy nor install the camber bolt kit b-4 installing springs. Camber was absolutely perfect and the toe was out only 0.02 degrees. I was thinking the camber would be out from everything I have been reading. Just my input and hope it helps someone considering the Goldlines.

Camber always changes when lowering a vehicle. If you look at the specs posted on our wesite HERE, you can see that the reason your camber was "perfect" is because GM has given us a very wide latitude for camber adjustment. Some cars "just sneak by" while others will need the kit. Mine didn't need the camber kit either - but if you look at the angle of the tops of my wheels you would think the camber was way off!

Thx for the info. I will still keep a eye on mine and if it goes out any I will get the kit.

It shouldn't "go out" unless you hit a curb and send it out. The main reson we recommend the Camber kit is because the HHR has no provision to adjust camber in stock form. If something arises later where you need to adjust camber, you would need to disassemble the lower strut and install the Camber Kit bolts. Chances are, the alignment shop you're at won't have this kit...and then you would be stuck.

Basically, it's a timesaver for later...
