Front end clunck goes away after a few miles
I have searched and still an looking for more info. My 06 has now had the shocks and struts as well as the strut mounts and sway bar end links replaced. I still have a loud clunk when I turn the wheel back and forth for the first few miles of my drive. After that it goes away. After it has sat a while it does the same thing again. I am at 97,000 miles and am looking for direction on what to look at next.
Does it feel like it's in the steering column, or more in the wheels.
My other Chev had a clunking in the column, mostly on tight turns.
They re-greased the column and it has been fine for a long time now.
Just a thought

I am going to try to replace the sway bar bushings as someone said that may be the problem and at 97,000 they are due. It feels like a clunk near my feet but at the center of the car. It almost sounds like something is loose and sliding back and forth. After a few miles you can rip the wheel right and left and it is dead silent.
