Full Contact Camber Shim
Howdy Folks,
So I am slowly bringing the Black Beauty back to road worthy condition. But trying to do it on a budget since losing my Oil patch job. I have replaced both front lower control arms, new struts and shocks, brakes and rotors. Problem is the right rear is -.98 deg out because the rear axle is bent from some sort of impact. I have come across a full contact shim that my mechanic suggested to correct the issue. Has anyone used this weird piece of plastic?
BTW, I am back in the tire biz in case anyone was wondering.

I have. Generally used to correct alignment issues with solid axles like out rear axles. Been used in racing applications as well.

And what does the guy following you say? I once knew a guy with a Camaro that went dead straight and straight steering wheel. Looked like a crab on the highway from the rear, it took up the entire 10 ft. wide lane going straight. He didn't notice until somebody told him.
A bent axle is asking for trouble in any event. Why didn't it get repaired after the substantial wreck? If you bought it that way you may have a safety claim.
