It's when you use "Goldline leveling springs" that it needs shorter shocks..

Cause as many have posted here. At a shop when it is body lifted, the rear GLs' get very loose, & even posted them falling OUT..

Not too cool.. Here's just one thread: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...veling+springs

Well dang. I'm probably going to go with the set of gl's , but not the leveling kit since I'm hearing bad things. I want the full drop!

Unless the eibach springs a tad lower. Not the 1 inch ones, but the others

Either way I got awesome things coming to my hhr real soon

The eibach prokit drops 1-1.5 inches and evens out the back a bit.
The eiback sportlines drop about 2 inches and look way cooler.

Gotta ask your self the question before you shoot down the GL's..... Just how often will you be lifting the rear full up? And on those far and few times, check em, they pop right back in...and if you take it easy going up they will stay in place( don't unload them so fast that they stretch )

I'm not putting them down (for the record) just making an awareness for newbies..
For someone that doesn't know that, they could go to the dealer for say tire rotation, every 5K.

They won't be aware the springs need to be watched & held into location.. PLEASE..............

But you have honestly know that they should never come loose, no matter how fast you lift it..OR if you do the magic chant improperly....

IMO, they should have been designed to be taller, but still compress to the drop it lists as.. That way there is no problem.. Simple..

If you read about the "Honda fix" which is putting sliced hose around the coils.. To stop the banging when the bind.

Pizz Poor design, & you know it..
