Half shaft stuck in hub?!

My driver's side wheel bearing started humming a few days ago and went to replace it and found the half shaft was stuck in the hub! I've used the proper
Tools to remove it and it wouldn't break free. Then bought a new half shaft and went to the torch and still not working. Then use the torch and quickly switch to a sledgehammer while it was still hot and sob still not breaking free. So at this point, it look like a new spindle is need as well. Any suggesting is welcome. Thank you.

Your in the right track , If it’s that stuck it’s not worth trying to drive it out , you’ll probably do damage to the spindle, with the heat and the impact of the sledgehammer.

just curious, which part are you heating with the torches?
The axle stub will expand with the heat and stay wedged in the hub.
If you heat just the hub , it might loosen up .
But with the impact, I’d consider at least new ball joints

Is it the axle stuck in the bearing OR (more common) the bearing stuck on the knuckle?

My suggestion would be to pop the axle out of the trans and pull the knuckle off. That would open up new avenues of persuasion.

Half shaft stuck in hub?!

Finally separated shaft from the hub! Soaked the shaft with krill oil and went to work. When I returned home, I gave it a few hits with the hammer and it moved ever so slightly! So I continued for about 5 minutes and it was free at last! After about 30 hubs/half shaft I have replaced, never see one where the splines had sooo much rust and corrosion!! Once I finally got the hub to break free of the spindle ( that took about 10 minutes with a chisel ) the wheel sensor cup had separated from the hub and was rusted to the spindle! The abs light never did come on. Go figure! Tomorrow, I'm going to replace the spindle anyway; after all the heat and pounding, I don't trust it. Thank you all for your time and help.

Thank you for checking and changing those heated parts . I do apply a little anti seize on the splines, anything water soluble is a no no!
