Help! Eibach or Cobat SS springs

Help me decide which springs to buy!

I want to lower my HHR and have narrowed it down to use ether the Eibach with 1" front and 1 1/2" rear drop or the Cobalt SS with I think about the same drop front and back. (Not 100% sure on that) I know the Cobalt's are gonna save me some money over the Eibach springs, so I would rather use them all things being equal. I just want the ones that are going to work best for my situation.

My dilemma is I have a little utility 4' x 8' trailer I occasionally pull to carry stuff that wont fit in the car. I also use my car for work, carrying my service parts (Not very much weight.) and I frequently have four people in the car. So I want the springs the have the higest spring loading possible. I believe I read here in some post that the SSR spring rate is lower than that of the HHR. I also went to the Eibach web site and they don't seem to mention their spring loading. I also know that the part number of the Eibach's (3899.140) are the same for both the HHR and the Cobalt. (same spring used for both cars according to Eibach's web site.) So does that mean they also have the lower spring rate of the Cobalt and they just use them also on our HHR's?

Does anyone have similar a experience or knowledge of which will be stiffer? Or what the spring rate of the HHR, Cobalt SS or Eibach springs are? Any info will help.

It all depends on how much you have to spend. The Eibachs should be better as they supposedly are tested for performance. The GM cobalt springs are engineered more specifically for the cobalt and may be slightly thinner. I will know for sure once I do the swap, I will try to get measurements and side by side pics of the cobalt ss/sc springs and HHR LS stock springs.

That's why I chose the Eibach's. I figured they would be a better performance spring Than the Cobalt's. I also checked out the Cobalt SS web site and noticed quite a few guys swaped out the Cobalt SS springs for the Eibach Pro's. Must be a reason. I am right in the middle of installing my Eibach's wright now. Report to follow after I get to test them out.

I thought I would post this info from the Eibach web site. This info was my main reason for choosing these over the cobalt SS ones.

I am not trying to bash anyone who chose the Cobalt SS springs. However, when I first posted this question no one would reply to it with opinions or suggestions. I was just trying to get advice from some of you who had these springs already. But with no luck.

So I was just giving my reasons for my choosing the The Eibach's after reserching what info I could find.

I was just trying to make an informed decision. Hopefully anyone else who has the same questions will now be a little better informed.
