Talking Eibach springs

If you want a good laugh check this out. Go to Eibach application guide and look at the part number of the springs for your 2006 HHR. Then look up the part number of the springs for the 2006 Cobalt. Link to Eibach application guide:http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...40348500027700
Pretty funny huh? All the more reason to go Goldline if you do lower your HHR.

The new Eibach kit isn't out yet. I've never even heard of the gold lines.

But they are still recomending the wrong kit. If the new kit isn't out yet they should stop recomending the wrong Cobalt springs. They don't care about peoples rides they only care about people money.

Cobalt springs will work so they are technically not wrong.

But the HHR weighs more. I like Eibach and they would be my first choice. That's why I was on their website first and then some competitors. I just thought that was a little wrong and made me lose a little respect for them. In the end I'm sure their product will speak for itself and be one of the best on the market.

But Cap'n, which product are you talking about? The wrong Cobalt ones that will fit, or the right HHR one's that aren't available?

Even though the HHR and Cobalt are on the same platform and their overall weights are close, the HHR has more weight bias in the rear. The Eibach springs which are currently the same for both are a little on the soft side for spring rate in the rear of the HHR.

A couple of weeks ago I spoke to an Eibach engineer about sway bars for the HHR (expected out in Feb.!!) and also asked about the springs. He said that they were near the new rate for the HHR rear and should have a revised kit out next month.

The Gold-Lines are good springs and have the spring rates already sorted out specific to the HHR. Many have already installed them and seem happy with them. Me... I've got a set here in a box with no HHR to put 'em on! My car is 2 weeks overdue now, but the dealer GM says Chevy told him we should see it around the end of the week. I'll believe it when I see it!

The right ones. Like I said, I like Eibach and would love them on my HHR. I think the Goldlines will drop it a little too low for me. The Eibachs will drop it less. Plus as snksknr94 kind of mentioned in a round about kind of way Eibach is a more well known name. I was kind of unaware of Goldline untill recently but the seem to have the only HHR specific kit on the market now. Maybe it's worth the wait for Eibachs? Who else plans on dropping their HHR and what do you plan on using? Of course people who have already done it speak up also. Also does anyone know is any other suspension companies are planning anything? I was kind of against lowering my HHR at first but ever since I added my HHR to my sig looking at that gap in the wheel well is killing me.

I'm like you CH, the goldline is to low for me. I checked out socallhhr's last weekend and that's too much for me. Now that I see the eibach kit I'm thinking thats the way to go.
