hhr/cobalt lowering springs

Ok, if you have a set of lowering springs for the cobalt, and they lower the car 1.9 inches front and back, how much would they lower the hhr? Is there a way to figure this out without doing it ?

I will try to not sound sarcastic. Why would it be different? The body/frame is held up by the springs. 1.9 is 1.9

donbrew. I think the OP means if those springs lower the Cobalt 1.9 inches, how much would those same springs lower a HHR.

Me. Not sure of the answer but since the HHR has a little more rear weight, I would assume the HHR would sit lower than the 1.9 inches in the rear because of the added weight.

Yes thats what im asking. Im just not sure how spring rates work along with the added weight.

I have tried cobalt ss supercharged springs and h&r lowering springs, they leave the rear end a little soft. Most people that try the cobalt ss turbo springs like them.
what brand springs are you considering?

As you have the springs already, I'd just throw them in - they are a pretty easy item to install and really don't take that long to do. Take your measurements first and then do a comparison and see how they feel for you. You may be quite happy with them - then again, they might not be quite what you are looking for.

I haven't ordered them yet ,but im looking at the ksport springs for the cobalt non ss ,and a set on ebay, m2 performance lowering springs. The ones on ebay are 1.9 front and back, and the ksport are 2 front and 2.5 rear. The ebay ones are 100 with free shipping, and the ksport are like 132 plus 22 for shipping. I guess im just trying to get the lowest drop for the money. I really don't want coilovers, nor can I afford them. Im not really looking for performance just want /need the look.
