The struts wear out like any other car, and from what i have seen the sway bar end links like to go bad, but otherwise it doesnt have that many issues. Really it is a well built car.

Welcome Andrew, if you want to avoid the normal issues with the front suspension, just switch your sway bar links to grease-able moogs, and the bar bushings to energy suspension grease-able poly, and you will just skip the issues.

Any re-front end alignment required with replacement of these parts?

Not typically with sway bar links or bushings.

Just by the way ..

Eighteen months ago, I used the stabilizer links from Toyota Camry. Past weekend - big inspection of suspension in preparation for winter. Links look cheerfully, no signs of fatigue. GM links die more often.
Do your findings.

By the way, please forgive me for the inaccuracy. It took 14 months, not 18.
But the result is still very good. Perhaps it's because Toyota Camry - more weight and used for this purpose more powered links.

PS Imagine how much GM earns an annual replacement of links to all of its cars. That millions, just use a little less strong iron, a little more liquid lubricant.
