How to pics

Someone posted step by step pics of the lowering process but I can't seem to find them on here. Can anybody help me out, I plan on lowering it first thing tomorrow.

Someone recently cut the wrong end of the bumpstop. If you're not sure, use SoCal's bumpstop how-to. In order to get a bumpstop from the dealer, you have to buy the whole spring assy. Or you have to find one in the junker...

that was me im an idiot but i finally found a set of bump stops at a junk yard in new york cost me 30 should be here mon or tues

Are you going to cut them? Or are you going to try them stock? I remember another owner recommending leaving them stock.

i think he has already rolled his fenders, uncut bumpstops wont be any good

had my fenders grinded down today no more rubbing

ahhhh another customer with rubbing issues..

basically your bottoming out on the 1 to 1 1/2 inch gap left for the shock to absorb any deviations in road variations...

If you read his earlier posts he has no "bottoming" problems. The only rubbing issues are for owners running rims wider than 8" - or the wrong offset. HHR's are rubbing the insides of the rear fender lips with wider rims.

The HHR was designed for 7-inch wide rims, with a 42mm offset.
Most other lowered FWD cars must undergo the same mods to run wider wheels - or other offsets.
