Yes , I know..
<<< has wide tires on mine

but the rear suspension moves up and down due to loads, force, deviations in road designs and the tire will move up and touch, rub, scrap the body panel and or body metal.. 1 to 1 1/2 inch of compression left in a shock is in adequate to properly absorb those forces.

One possible fix is what I'm testing, working on now...
2nd option, roll fender lip
3rd do both -----
Not too keen on cutting metal, opportunity for corrosion if bare metal isn't
properly treated.

So with the car parked, the tires touch the fenders / metal now?

I've went down a slight incline of a driveway and one of my rear tire
starting rubbing the metal ...

it never touched while parked, it was rubbing when i drove over dips in the road, we have some crappy roads around here
