Issue with steering wheel pulling to the left while braking
Sometimes its the simple things... Did anyone check the caliper pins/bolts for proper movement? When I first bought my 09 with 8 miles on it, the car would pull after a while while in stop and go traffic here on the wonderful belt parkway after the brakes would heat up. Brought it to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong.... Yeah-OK MR. Service Writer... (SUN Chevrolet by the way-never went back there-found Robert Chevrolet to be good for me.)When I got the HHR home I took both front brake assemblies apart and found that some one on a beer break on the assembly line forgot to lube the caliper pins on the front passanger side caliper assembly. DUH! I lubed the unlubed side & the cleaned off & relubed the other. I use the Permatex Syn Brake Lube (green stuff). My problem was solved. I only took it to the dealer 1st because the HHR was new. Bad mistake....
Anyway-check your pins. If those pins do not let the caliper slide properly the caliper can lock up or even get ****ed on just enough of an angle to jam the brakes. Sometimes even the rubber dust cups let water into the pin area and regular brake grease gets "washed out". I now never use anything but the Permatex Syn.....

Hi Snoopy,
2 tires were original and both on drivers side, replaced passenger side tires at a local, but large tire store, tires were installed there. Rear DS tire was moved to front PS. As soon as I got in the Chevy after the tire installation, it started pulling. The tires have been crossed, and switched to the rear with no correction. They are all in alignment.
I bought the car from a local dealer, not GM, I have had it for 12 days, the seller is trying to correct the problem. But like me, he is baffled as the car handled well (I drove 200 miles with the old tires and there was zero pull) prior to changing tires. I also found that this is a rebuilt HHR LT1, I was not aware of that when I purchased it. That is my fault for not getting the Car Fax, oh it's a 2011 w/26K.

Confused about your word/term "alignment". An alignment is done to the car on a special hoist for that purpose. And is usually an extra cost service. When you are using the, " all in alignment", you are not perhaps speaking of a tire balance, are you. If so, then was the car aligned ALSO (look at your paperwork).
An alignment is generally the first item that one suspects when a car is pulling in one direction or another. This is critical.
And when you say "rebuilt" what exactly do you mean.....in an accident and repaired? Or was it in a critical accident and repaired from a "salvaged" title. If the latter is true, MOST STATES require the seller to disclose that information. If he/she did not at the time of sale, you MAY have some legal recourse.....including the return of your money and expenses. YOU do need to check on this.
I suspect, however, with the limited information provided, that you MAY have been taken advantage of.
Keep us informed. ALL will help, if we can.

& FYI (In the future) Please start a fresh thread, so as to not confuse issues that another member (who started the thread) may be having....
Lots of help here for you tho..
And having a "rebuilt title" should have definately been pointed out to you.. That really decreases the value.
Since if it was rebuilt, it probably was salvaged from being Totaled..
