My opinion? If you just want to level the rear, go with the Cobalt SS rear springs. They're cheaper than aftermarket and will drop the backend about an inch. I noticed a slight improvement in ride and it definitely helps the back of the car settle down. You use the existing rubber and don't have to trim any stops. It's a very easy installation. The GM P/N for the 08 Cobalt SS rears is: 25821162. GM Parts Direct is $60 for the pair, plus $13 shipping.

Thanks for the info Altmanglen. I got tired of waiting for the GL's, so I did order the Cobalt SS from Direct. Fed Ex says they will be here Today. Price was right.

I assume some/all of you did the installation of the rear coils yourself? I'm going to install same on my 06 LT, will do it myself. Any tips or special tools needed? Thanks!
