Question Leveling question?

I know I know it's been asked a million times. But I'm not looking for the "best" I'm looking for the softest. In your honest opinion, how much stiffer do leveling springs make your HHR. I have an 08 LT with the Sport suspension package and to me it's already a bit stiff so to make it even stiffer is a no go for me. Is there a way to level out the rear and either improve the feel of the suspension or at the very least keep it where it is? Maybe new shocks and springs? Thanks for any info.

The gold line springs will make the ride a little stiffer, but its not to bad I also change my rear shocks and it made it stiffer but I like the ride nice and firm. With my wheel and tire setup with stock shocks my car would bottom out sometimes with the new ones no more my car also has the sport suspension. I have a 240z with ground-control coil-over suspension and on the track or smooth roads it's great, but on the street you feel every bump.

God Bless!

I have a 06 2LT with the sport suspension and added the Goldline rear leveling springs. I am very happy with the ride even though a slightly bit stiffer ride on extremely bumpy roads or over speed bumps but in general, no big difference from the sport suspension that came with the veh.

Thanks for the replies. Man, I worry about how stiff it will make it? Back in the day when I was a young buck I didn't care how the car rode, I only cared how the car looked! Now that I am much wiser (at least I think I am) I want the car to ride nice first and look cool second. I lowered a 2003 Neon a few years back with Eibach springs and it rode rough, not to mention it didn't take long to blow out the struts! It looked cool though

I think you will be pleased with the ride of the leveling springs...

Seriously... as I mentioned before... No real difference and just a very slight bit stiffer on a really rough road.

tahenke- there are several supporting vendors here that sell them. But if you're looking for the cheapest- with whomever you choose to buy- make sure you add the shipping and handling before you decide. That portion of the cost can vary significantly.
Good luck!
