leveling springs..........goin for it.........

After checking and rechecking the threads, I've decided to go to GM Parts Direct, and get a pair of Cobalt SS/SC rear springs (part number 10390024).

Don't recall the particulars, but am hoping this gives me a smooth ride.

SS- The FE5 springs only lower non SS rides about 3/4" inch..But stiffer ride for sure. & they'll sell..

bowtieboy68-

That's a decent price for Brand new ones..
The SS/SC rear springs do pop up here in the classifieds for cheep-cheep prices...Also used to find them on the cobalt site. I haven't been there in long time.

The SS/SC will lower the rear approx 1-3/8"- almost 1-1/2" after settling, & softest ride, like FE1

I chose the SS/TC springs..Paid $74 to my door from GMPD near 2 yrs ago. I feel they are a very good match for the FE3 sport-suspension.. & I haul stuff, (besides hauling Azz) today hauled 480 lbs of weed-n-feed, mucho mulch, & other various home improvement stuff.. Still sat just right.
And the ride quality is fine..Handling is greatly improved as well..

I left the GM tags on, cause of warranty.. lol

Jeff-

my SS/TC springs ride as nice as my original springs with FE3 suspension.. I do haul a lot of stuff, & no complaints. Also, I did not cut the bump stops & never bottomed out..
