I have been getting bad screeching noise when reversing. My dad thought it was the wheel bearing. But it was just the clips that hold the pads in. I had already trimmed them but I trimmed them some more. Is this common? I feel like they are just going to come in again and scrape after a while.
I wire brushed them and put some red grease to hopefully help with the friction.
I got a few pads that included the wrong guides, so I started just using a set that fit over and over. Evidently, they fit another more popular application.
Yes , the ones I had were Duralast, the part number was for several GM FWD vehicles, it is plausible the manufacturer just included clips that were close enough.
