I was thinking the same too....though I have been on some roads where I actually checked my DIC tire pressures for a tire down.

I have a 2010 HHR SS which was absolutely fine until the first tire rotation. Then I noted a distinct pull to the left. I suspected radial pull so I changed my front left wheel to the left rear and vice versa. Problem solved & identified. In the service manual there is a trouble shooting chart method for identifying radial pull and isolating the culprit tire/wheel. The dealer replaced the bad tire and the problem was resolved. As delivered, the bad tire was located on the rear so it had no noticeable effect on steering until it got rotated to the front.

Be sure to tell the dealer to investigate radial pull. It is not too common but happens enough to warrant a service manual section on the problem.

You should be able to drive with minimal or no steering effort when on a straight, level roadway if you can find one.

That is also good to know. I suppose one of these days I need to go through the owners manual. Chuck
