Find a compatable wheel based 4x4 that has been lifted and put the HHR body on the 4x4 chassis...Hey, nobody said easy right??? We put a 7 series BWM on a 4x4 chassis...wierd, but it sold quickly...

I got rid of a Yukon for mine. And my wife got rid of a Saab for a Torrent. Go figger. Now I have the smaller of the vehicles. I got used to it pretty quick though.

 

Funny, I had that thought of putting the body on a 4x4 chassis. More food for thought, there may be one under construction or complete. The body shop that did my HHR has another shop near Ashland Wisconsin and they were on the thinking path. Might have to check up on this.

 

Good idea! My Wife is a shorty, so she just sits on a couple of cushions! Cheaper than messing with the supension, and you get the same effect!

Why not get the power seat and raise it up then?

 

Most DONKS use a body lift to help with clearance. That would be a "easy" (to use loosely) was to gain inches.

A chassis lift will probably have to be custom made.

 

I wonder if that's something we could have done without costing a fortune? Had never thought about it!
