Spring rate rear suspension

A few weeks ago I installed bc racing coilovers (cobalt type) on my 2008 LT. I was aware of a different kind of suspension behavior and stiffness. To my opinion the car bounces a lot. The spring rate in rear is 8 and front 6 , is this to much or is there another solution to make behave a bit "smoother".

You might want to contact BC and see if they offer a set of rear springs a bit stiffer . Is there any adjustments for the shocks back there?

are they RM or BR set of coil overs?

I started a chat with one of the reps at BC coil overs , in Canada, she never responded.
while looking at the site , apparently the shocks which would control the bounce have 30 clicks of rebound adjustments

Smooth, are there more positions, like firm or touring?

Would be easier and cheaper to get kyb and fe5 springs ? Tested in PL, firm and solid combo. Does bc's coast about 900 euro in NL

The HHR weighs several hundred pounds more than the Cobalt. Maybe the springs aren't rated for that extra weight load.

And. From the BC website :
Q...I have a HHR SS which is a Delta chasis. I.E. Cobalt. What I'm looking for is a coilover that does not change the ride height. I see were you have extra low kits but do you offer a stock height kit. I want the adjustability of shock settings and ease of coil spring tuning. The streets here in New Orleans are very bad. The last lowered car I had was damaged badly from just driving around normally.
A...Unfortunately, we have been unable to test this kit on the HHR. We are aware that outside forum posts state this kit fits the HHR but until we are able to test the HHR at our facility, we do not recommend or sell any kits for the HHR. Please check back soon. We are searching for a test vehicle.

I choose BC so I could change the ride height easily. Kyb struts and lowering springs are almost the same price due to shipping cost and taxes

So have you tried, clicking the adjustments from smooth to firm? Say 5 clicks at a time to see where you like the ride? Rebound will control the bounce not spring rate.

Smooth is bouncy, firm is not bouncy. 1965 Cadillac "smooth", Ferrari "hard".
