Technically, it's damping that controls the bounciness. As these guys said, you should be able to tune that out by going firmer.

Also, I think the spring rates are reversed. They are measured here in pounds per inch, and a bigger number normally goes where there is more weight. These cars are nose-heavy, so the front should have a higher rate.
My autocross car (not an HHR) had 224 in front, 194 in rear, for example.

I try to set all 4 corners to firm. If its better, case closed. If not I'll replace the rear springs with a different type of spring. My wife doesn't want to ride along anymore, drives her crazy

Recommendations on rear lowering springs (just in case) ? Struts in front are fine, I really think the promblem is in the rear section

BC coilovers ARE stiff. A lot of people complained about it. That is why i went with kw1. Ride is almost the same as factory and you still can adjust the ride height.
