It does seem like a lot of money, but I've seen folks spend almost that much on a set of springs with some real nice adjustable struts and shocks.

After you install this kit just as with springs you will need an alignment. The ride height generally speaking is somewhere around 2" below stock. But with this kit you can actually program your ride height to where you like it best, although I wouldn't go much below 2". Some folks might want just 1" lower than stock. I like a pretty level stance and I find that having about 60lb up front and 45lb at the rear leaves me with a slight rake and just about the same drop as that of the Goldlines. But regardless of where you decide you want your ride height, you need to set it, program it in, and have it aligned. One more thing I like about this kit. The front struts already have the camber adjustment provision built into them, it actually allows for quite a lot of adjustment. -Dan

Sounds like a good deal as long as you can afford it on your budget. It has a lot of bang for the buck and it looks pretty good. Now how about those install pixs?

Oh, I almost forgot; $2600 will not get you a turbo for the HHR, a turbo kit runs $3999...and that is substantially more!

It may be alot of money but well worth it. The computer control alone is EXTRA on most other bag systems trust me I have been looking at them 4 a while. Not for my HHR but for a few buddys of mine. Lets agree it is alot of money but if you can afford it do it. Just think how many of you have lowered a car any car with out air bags. You try to pull into some place that has a bump in front and what happens your lower bumper gets all chipped and sometimes broken. Trust me I know I lowered my old Ford Lightning and I replaced the lower bumper 3 times in 1 summer at $300.00 a pop. With bags all you do is hit a button and BAM!!!! problem solved. And no I dont work for Mike at socal lol nor was I paid for this lol. Its not in EVERY ones budget. It will even take me a bit to get it other finacial obligations lol sorry socal but soon lol

Definately a very sharp look on the HHR, might have to start saving up to make it my first mod.

Ok i have a question I might have missed in the Thread. I see you are still on Factory Wheels. I am going to be getting the Air Ride. Either this set-up or the set-up EasyStreet has come out with. But I am wondering what is the Max size wheel you think you could fit in the wheel with it body dropped? I have 20s right now and I think I might have to drop to 19s or so. Please let me know what you think before I look to much into this.

Width and offset are the big problem here - not diameter. You will need to drop to a 7.5' wide wheel with a +42 or _45mm offset. that will most likely limit you to 17's. As most 18 and larger wheels are only available in 8 and 8.5 width (in the HHR bolt pattern). there is always the option of finding the wheels you want (diameter and offset), then buying "blanks" and having the bolt pattern drilled. Many of the larger wheel shops carry blanks.

Hope it helps,
