Suggestion on lowering

I really want to lower my 07 HHR. I haven't thought of which springs to go with and should I replace the stock struts/shocks? Thanks guys for the input...

I would recommend the Eibach Pro-Kit. It lowers the front 1" and the rear 1.6" and did not require the alignment kit to be added to the front end. It was a fairly straight forward install and after driving 100 miles you need to have the front end alignment checked and adjusted. I have driven with the Eibach kit for over a year with no issues at all.

If you want to lower it, I agree with TK it seemsmost have liked the Pro-kit they got from Eibach.
Whatever you do don't settle for the rear leveling kit if you want to lower the whole car. I did that and I loved it at first but now it just looks stock again and I want to lower the whole car.

Not to jack the thread, but if someone has a lowering kit and wants to trade for the leveling springs and a few bucks let me know I'll even drive a couple of hours to make the trade, I'm in Chico (Nor-Cal) so a couple hours for me would be Sac or maybe even Modesto.

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.....

Thanks guys! I was actually thinking going lower. Is this not recommended? Does going over 1" in the front require a alignment kit? I want to go 1.6" to 2" for the front and 2.6" for the rear. I founds some by Progress that does the 1.6" and 2.5". Let me know what you all think of these springs...

Thanks, Jay

None require a kit. I put it on so that down the road if I need it, it's there. Put the eibach's on both our HHRs. Mine was fine, wife's needed an alignment.

I Guess you would then go for the Eibach Sport Kit ! The "BEST" Ride Quality for how Low you will be going! If your just Weekend Cruising put it in the Weeds ! A Dailey Driver, not quite sure if you want to be that low ? The Progress Springs I have read about will seem to have your HHR on Rails but the Ride is said to be "Un-Bareably" Stiff ! If moneys "NO" object you may want to even consider Adjustable Coilovers or even Air Bags !

Happy Holidays,

Happy Holidays,
If money was no object I would go with the airbags. I would like to lower my HHR so I have no space between the tires and the well. But I don't think I want it where I have to wear a kidney belt... Anyway thank you all for the info....

Eibach Pro Kit

I went with the Eibach Pro-Kit and love it. We took a 1500 mile trip after install and the wife actually enjoyed the ride and comfort. Still need to take New pics
