Suggestions for Strut Replacement HHR SS

Newbie poster and losing my mind. Can't seem to find direct replacements (front struts) for my 2008 HHR SS. Am I missing something?
Got some shop quote for 700$ and I don't even know what I'm getting for that.
Don't want the car any lower. Just want to lose the clunks and trim it back to original handling. And yes. The drivers side strut is most def blown out.
Any Additional parts to replace? Thanks in advance for any suppliers u guys are aware of that can ship me what I need. (I Can DYI it).

Welcome to the site, and the suspension discussion...Woody's got your answer. I would replace the endlinks with moog while you are shopping, they are usually bad before the struts, and make a terrible racket.

They look pretty. I would say this statement is the key to your decission The FCS Strut Assembly is engineered to meet and exceed O.E.M. quality. The components and valving are designed specifically for each domestic or import car, truck, van, minivan or SUV application. The precisely calibrated valving combinations are individualized for each application to best simulate OE ride and feel.

Do they even know what a HHRSS is ? Did they track tune it like Chevrolet did with the SS ? Or did they say the cobalt SS parts fit yours too ?

The Fe5 set up is impressive to drive. Have never found them lacking across a wide spectrum of conditions.
